What is White Stone Dust Made Of?

Stone dust is made from finely crushed granite sourced from Norway, ground to a fine gravel-like consistency. This allows it to pack down well, creating a relatively hard surface. The attractive white stone dust retains its appearance over time, and when laid over a weed-control fabric, it provides an even more effective and long-lasting barrier.

Many use this type of stone dust as an underlayer for white granite chippings, not only for the pleasing white background but also for its weed-inhibiting qualities.

How to Apply Stone Dust?

Stone dust should be spread in a layer approximately 3 cm thick. Once evenly distributed, it should be compacted to help it settle quickly. Due to the granite composition, the fine, well-angled stones bind together exceptionally well, forming a solid surface. When using it with a weed-control fabric, simply lay the fabric underneath, ensuring a slight overlap.

Forklift Delivery

With forklift delivery, we can deliver big bags to difficult-to-reach locations where a large truck cannot access. This option is popular in cottage areas, garden associations, and small properties. Our forklift can drive on gravel surfaces, but we do not recommend driving over paving stones as the weight may cause damage. We also avoid driving over grass and other delicate surfaces.

Our forklifts have a width of about 2.5 meters and a height of 2.8 meters.

Crane Delivery

Note that crane trucks require ample space from the main road to the delivery site, with a clearance height of 4.5 meters and a width of 4 meters. The crane can reach up to 7-8 meters from the truck.
