For this, you need soil conditioner

Almost all gardens aiming for a beautiful natural flora need soil conditioner to flourish and thrive. Those of us who love our gardens and take pride in their beauty should use this soil conditioner. It’s incredibly easy to apply, simple to work with, and all you need to do is either spread the product on top of your garden beds, allowing the nutrients to seep down to the roots of your plants as needed, or mix it into your existing soil to improve its structure. If you want to enhance the structure of your existing soil, you should till or cultivate the soil conditioner into the current soil. This will give you a naturally enriched structure with plenty of nutrients. After tilling or cultivating, you can plant directly in the mixed quality soil.

If you wish to provide extra protection for your plants during winter, it's a good idea to apply the product in late autumn. The product will protect your plants throughout the winter.

How thick a layer should you apply?

If you are mixing soil conditioner with existing soil, apply a layer about 10 cm thick and mix it with the top 20 cm of the existing soil. This will create a balanced mixture without overwhelming the plants. If you are spreading it on top of the soil without mixing, apply a layer of 5–7 cm. Based on this calculation, 1000 liters (1 m³) will cover approximately 16 m².

Soil conditioner for beech hedges, hedges, clay soil, and roses

Our soil conditioner can be used for almost all types of plants, bushes, hedges, sandy soil, and clay soil. There are countless possibilities, and the great thing is that it provides natural nourishment for everything. When using it for an existing hedge, we recommend applying it as a top layer on the soil where the hedge is planted. Rainwater will carry the nutrients down, giving your plants what they need throughout the growing season. If you are planting a bed, new plants, or sowing seeds, we suggest mixing the soil conditioner with your existing soil before planting. You can also buy pre-mixed topsoil with soil conditioner included upon delivery. It’s also a good idea to add soil conditioner to your greenhouse soil if it has become nutrient-deficient.

What is the difference between soil conditioner and artificial fertilizer?

There is a big difference between these two types of fertilizers. Soil conditioner is a completely natural product, primarily derived from horse manure. It’s a healthy, natural fertilizer with a high nutrient content, processed in a way that makes it easy to work with. The product breaks down at a reasonable pace, ensuring your plants receive nutrients over time. We take pride in producing this in the highest quality, and you will notice this when you receive it. It’s pleasant to work with and very user-friendly. Your plants will love it.

Artificial fertilizer, as the name suggests, is industrially produced and not remotely sustainable. However, it is easy to use and compact, which is why many in the plant industry have chosen to use it. Fortunately, we see a growing trend where more and more people are shifting towards sustainable production in agriculture, horticulture, and nurseries, transitioning to natural soil conditioner instead.

Fungi in soil conditioner

Soil conditioner is primarily made from granulated horse manure, and this can often contain fungi. These fungi belong to the “Glanshat” family, and this is actually a good sign. You don’t need to remove them; simply use the soil conditioner as usual. The fungi will disappear quickly and cause no harm. However, it’s not recommended to eat them. They are not poisonous but can cause hallucinations if consumed in large quantities.

How is soil conditioner delivered?

At Maxibag, we care deeply about delivering your product in the best possible way for you. That’s why we’ve built a transport system allowing you to choose the delivery method that suits you best. It’s important that the maxi bag is placed in the most convenient spot for you, both in terms of proximity to where it will be used and if you need to store some of it. You can store any remaining soil conditioner in the maxi bag for later use throughout the season without any loss of quality.

Curbside / driveway delivery

With this method, the product is delivered either to the curb or onto your driveway. The driver can also place the product just inside your driveway if you prefer. Please provide a clear description of where you’d like the maxi bag delivered, so our drivers can place it perfectly for you, eliminating the need for you to be home during delivery.

Delivery with mobile forklift

This delivery method is very popular with our customers. The driver brings a special forklift with air-filled tires, capable of driving on gravel, stones, and down gravel roads at private addresses or in allotments. This is an excellent solution, especially in summerhouse areas with small roads.

Delivery with a crane

This is the correct delivery method if the product needs to be placed over a hedge or fence. The driver will bring a truck with a crane, which can lift your big bag of soil conditioner and place it where you want it.
