When the black granite chippings are delivered, they are covered in dust from the crushing process, and it will take some time before all the dust is washed away by rainwater. Black granite chippings appear darkest when wet. Occasionally, a few smaller white stones may be present among the black chippings, as it is a 100% natural product.

How Thick Should the Layer Be?

For these larger chippings, we recommend laying a layer of at least 7 cm. The larger the stone or chipping, the thicker the layer required to properly cover the area.

For an optimal base under black granite chippings, we recommend laying a layer of black stone dust of 3-5 cm beneath the chippings. Black stone dust helps to suppress weeds and provides a fully covering black base color under the chippings. This way, you can reduce the thickness of the granite chippings layer while ensuring the area does not mix with sand or soil. This provides the most complete experience. Black stone dust can also be combined with a weed control fabric.

One of our skilled drivers will deliver to your location and place the product at the curb, on the pavement, or right at the beginning of your driveway. This type of delivery is included in the price and is typically the fastest delivery method, as we send it with the next available truck.

Truck Delivery

One of our drivers will bring a mobile forklift to your location. This can be detached from the truck and can drive the maxibag down gravel paths, into gardens, onto stones, chippings, gravel, deep into your driveway, etc. This is an excellent delivery option that helps many customers get the materials close to where they will be used. Just include a description in your order of where the product should be placed, and the driver will receive this instruction and place it accordingly. You do not need to be home to indicate the placement.

The forklift is 2.5 meters wide.

Crane Delivery

We can also deliver granite chippings with a crane, which is ideal if you need the product placed over a fence, hedge, gate, etc. In this case, choose delivery by crane.

Please note that the large crane trucks require ample space. There must be a clear height of 4.5 meters and a width of 4 meters from the main road to the final delivery address. The crane truck can extend a maxibag 7-8 meters away from the truck.
